Le chteau Quinault l'Enclos est dj une des stars dans l'appellation Saint-Emilion Grand cru. Les vins labors par l'quipe du chteau Cheval Blanc nous propose une version trs fine et sduisante de ce fabuleux terroir Libournais. Les vins dveloppent des armes intenses de fruits noirs et une bouche ample et structure qui se prolonge dans une finale frache et fruite.

Histoire du Chteau

Cette proprit de 20 hectares situe au cur de Libourne existe depuis l'poque Gallo-Romaine. Le vignoble a une moyenne d'ge de 45 ans et comporte sur certaines parcelles de trs vieilles vignes. En 2008, le baron Frre et Bernard Arnault, prsident du Groupe LVMH (Yquem, Cheval Blanc) achtent ce vignoble dans lequel ils voient un grand potentiel. En effet le terroir de graves fines dont il dispose est idal pour l'laboration d'un grand vin. De plus c'est l'quipe du chteau Cheval Blanc, emmene par Pierre Lurton qui dirige ce domaine. Le vin du chteau Quinault l'Enclos est donc labor avec les mmes soins qu'un premier grand cru class. Avec une approche biologique, l'quipe qui entoure ce vignoble, sublime ce beau terroir pour nous offrir chaque anne un vin sur le fruit, prcis, lgant et profond. Trs bien reu par la critique internationale le vin du chteau Quinault l'Enclos gagne chaque anne en complexit, en finesse et en rgularit.

There was no frost here. Medium to deep ruby-purple colored, the 2017 Quinault l'Enclos delivers expressive scents of mulberries, baked plums and boysenberries with hints of tar, licorice and chargrill. Medium-bodied, the palate has a solid structure of chewy tannins and lively acidity framing the elegant black fruit and savory layers, finishing on an earthy note.


De couleur rubis-pourpre moyen profond, le Quinault l'Enclos 2017 offre des parfums expressifs de mres, de prunes et de mres de Boysen avec des notes de goudron, de rglisse et de grill. Moyennement cors, le palais prsente une solide structure avec une vive acidit encadrant les couches de fruits noirs et de sarriette, pour finir sur une note terreuse.

This shows beauty and balance for the vintage with delicious crushed-berry and chocolate aromas and flavors. Medium to full body, creamy tannins and a flavorful finish. One of the best QEs in a long time. Drink after 2022.

The quality here continues to soar, and the 2017 Chateau Quinault L'Enclos is flat out great. Offering up loads of currants, tobacco, and gravelly earthy, it's medium to full-bodied, has a gorgeous texture, ripe, sweet tannins, and a great, great finish. It shows the more elegant style of the vintage, yet it has more texture and opulence than most, and while it's already hard to resist, it's going to shine for 15-20 years.

Deep crimson. Delicately herbaceous and slightly dusty aroma. Smells of stone dust. Or is it the concrete in the cellar Under that, light cassis. Strange mix of herbaceous flavours and sweet chocolate. Sweet/sour at the moment. Smooth tannins, chocolate texture. Gentle but fresh. (JH)

Couleur sombre, intense et belle. Nez fruit et plus pic que floral. Bouche dlicieuse, fondante, caressante et nuance, voluant sans angle sur une chair douce et des armes. Longueur normale.
